Storefront is a fully extensible software solution to provide ecommerce capabilities to your existing web site. The product itself is fully featured and offers all the functionality you need to get started selling online. Furthermore, the services on offer from the company are excellent and you can get help with anything from setting up the software to marketing your store. Prices are quite reasonable when compared with similar products although you will either have to pay extra for hosting or find your own hosting company somewhere.

The install process for Storefront is relatively straightforward, although you will need to have some experience with web servers to be sure to do it properly. If you don't feel happy doing it yourself, a setup service is available and is included in the price if you opt for one of the e-business packages. Once installed though, it should be easy for anyone to set up and configure the store. You can use one of the included design templates as a starting point or configure it yourself using the online editor. Storefront also offers a design service which you can take advantage of if you want to tailor your store.

Storefront offers many store management features of its own to allow you to manage the store day to day, but also integrates with external accounting and stock control systems to simplify the process. It's worth checking if it supports your systems as this could be the make or break feature when considering which solution to go for. If you don't have any existing systems, however, you will still find Storefront does a great job of managing your orders and products. Everything is accessed through a well designed web interface that we found very intuitive to use.

Storefront can also handle the different aspects of marketing your store for you. From the outset the generated store is created in a way that will allow the search engines to properly rank it and make it easily discoverable. However, if you want to try and get your store higher up the rankings you can make use of the SEO service the company provides. It is also possible to allow your customers to sign up to your site which means they can create wish lists of products and you can email them news on offers or promotions you run.

Storefront is a well designed piece of software and would provide a good backbone for any online store. There are a wide range of supporting services on offer too at quite reasonable prices.
