I have been searching for a fully featured shopping cart with features that would satisfy what I need such as multi customer shops, pricing levels for different product qty's and login features for customers and to also supply to wholesale customers. This software has these features plus hundreds more, in fact so many features that you keep discovering more as you use the software. I have used software such as weebly, shopfactory and tested wix plus so many more website software solutions and nothing even comes close to CS-Cart. The only negative issue with this software is that it is not just a wysiwyg easy to use software as the other simpler platforms but once you get used to it and learn the features it is well worth it. I have had the software for only a few months and already have great reviews from my customers with ease of use and they love there personal shopping websites that I have created specifically for each customer. The software takes care of orders, online payments, great SEO features and so much more!!

I've researched and tested all the major carts for over 1-year. They all have their limitations. CS-Cart is unbelievably feature packed and a faction of the price. Its unbelievable value. Similar functions and features among the big guys will cost you a minimum of around $200/mo for the same features included in cs-cart for $195/yr.

Think of your website like a HOUSE. Do you want to "rent" or "buy" ?
CS-Cart is like buying a house. You OWN IT, you OWN YOUR DATA, You Own your core files.

If you buy a house you can renovate it, modify the kitchen/bathroom over time as you need etc.. If you RENT you CANT! Its as simple as that. Another OFTEN overlooked value is that you OWN your DATA unlike going with a hosted solution, where they will sell your data, info, and anything possible. Have a lot of competitors or in a tough industry? Then the last thing you would want is a hosted solution bidding competitors and their SEO/rankings against yourself in order to promote their cause NOT YOURS.

Need to block a country like CHINA from copying all your pictures and posting them on Alibaba or other China sites? Sorry you cant do that... (Read the full review)

As web developers of the past 15 yrs and moving into the commerce sector more prominently for the past 6yrs or so, we needed a solution that was not only robust but feature packed and easy for our clients to control their inventory, orders, customers etc.

When we looked around at commerce software, we had a few in the final running. However, after installing CS Cart on our server and testing for only a couple of days,we knew we had found the right solution that we could confidently offer to our clients.

We now have many clients stores using CS Cart between V3 & V4. The features - especially in V4 are what you would expect to find in software twice the price & ALL our clients love the admin interface and ease in which they can administrate the store, retrieve sales reports. Buyers love the fast optional guest checkout option making impulse sales much more common.

One overriding but often overlooked 'feature', is the support we get from CS Cart. We pride ourselves on the level of support we provide for our own clients and the CS team are every bit as good as we'd hope and more!

I have been a website designer and developer for 17 years. I specialize in ecommerce solutions. I have spent countless hours researching the best shopping cart options out there.

I have several dedicated servers and my #1 requirement for a solution is that I can host it myself. The industry trend of charging a monthly fee for their shopping cart and forcing you to host with them is a very expensive solution. CS-Cart meets this requirement by allowing me to own my own license and install the cart on my own servers. Saving me TONS of money over time.

The second most import thing I look for is the consumer experience. The front facing interface and checkout process are very good. The build in visual editor makes it easy for a novice to modify the theme to their own needs.

I also love how modular CS-Cart is. It makes it easy, and more importantly cost effective, to add functionality to the cart using add-ons from the robust add-on community.

I have been in the process of converting several of my web design clients to the CS-Cart platform because it is something that I really enjoy.

In summary, I would recommend CS-Cart to a friend.

I've got some installation problems with web templates, CS-Cart Technical support shows their efficient expertise, patience and solved all problems for clients.

As an initial website creation, a professional customer service & technical service are the most important thing that we can save a lot of time.

Already recommended CS-Cart to few friends.

Its a decent cart, looks good etc. Kinda slow. Good lucky getting help if there are issues though. They sell you "points" to use if you need help with things. Simply asking a question, they will take 5 points from you if you email them for them to answer. Support forums are, well, blah. They will reply to your messages in the support forums on a very rare basis, and you are basically left to fend for yourself waiting for other users to answer your questions. They are now taking away basic functions that were part of the package when you purchased it. The "Twigmo" which is the online them for the store, has been taken away, and you now have to pay a monthly fee to use it, even though it was included when you purchased the software originally. Now they are taking away "Searchanise" which is a search function, and wanting you to pay a monthly fee for that as well, which was also included free when you purchased the product and listed as one of the features for the cart. CS-Cart 4 is really the best one out there. It has some really cool new features like relatime theme editing. So you can easily change colors/images/fonts and other style elements of your site without any programming skills. Another one is speed. I have more than 15000 products in my store and it is really fast. I bought my licence from: www.nettxpress.no

Spent 5 weeks evaluating eCommerce solutions (BigCommerce, Magento.Go, OSCommerce, even one Drupal release), and CS-Cart was awesome from the very start.

Kept waiting to hit that point where I'd need to roll up my sleeves and start tweaking the code on the backend. With all the other products it was a matter of just a couple days, or on some a matter of a few hours, but with CS-Cart, the days turned to weeks, turned now to months and I still haven't had to touch any code!

CS-Cart also has so many features already built in it, it's truly amazing! I'm now 9 months into using this eCommerce solution, and I have to say I'm still blown away by this product. Cannot recommend it highly enough!!

Don't be afraid if you're a non-techie - there's really not all that much technical stuff to do to install this, PLUS the Simbirsk folks have done a great job with the installation wizard and the Admin interface.
